Land Rover Series II

1958–1961·Series Series II

Land Rover manufactured approximately 122,000 Series II models at Solihull between 1958 and 1961 before transitioning to the mechanical upgrades of the Series IIA. Styled by Rover chief styling designer David Bache, the vehicle introduced the iconic rounded barrel-side waistline, wider track widths, and the legendary 72 hp 2.25-liter OHV petrol four-cylinder engine. Buyers must inspect the steel bulkhead A-pillars and footwells for structural rust, verify the front swivel balls for pitting, and check the rear main rope seal for oil leaks into the bellhousing.
