Ferrari Dino 206 GT

1967–1969·Series 206 GT

The Dino 206 GT is a lightweight, all-aluminum mid-engine sports car produced by Ferrari under the Dino brand between 1967 and 1969. Conceived by Enzo Ferrari in memory of his son Dino and styled by Aldo Brovarone and Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, it introduced Maranello's first production mid-engine chassis layout. Power is supplied by a 2.0-liter (1,987 cc) all-alloy 65-degree V6 developing 180 hp at 8,000 rpm, breathing through triple Weber 40 DCN carburetors and mounted transversely directly above a 5-speed gated manual transaxle. Carrozzeria Scaglietti hand-hammered all aluminum bodywork over an 89.8-inch tubular steel chassis. Strictly 152 customer units were completed before the cast-iron 246 GT succeeded it.
