Rolls-Royce Phantom (VII)

2003–2017·Series VII

Unveiled on January 1, 2003, at the newly opened Goodwood plant in West Sussex, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VII marked the triumphant modern renaissance of the storied British marque under BMW Group stewardship. Engineered from a clean sheet with an all-aluminum spaceframe chassis hand-welded from over 500 individual extrusions, the Phantom VII carried zero platform sharing with parent BMW sedans. Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.75-liter 48-valve V12 codenamed BMW N73B68 generating 453 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque, the flagship introduced signature rear-hinged coach doors, Teflon-coated door-frame umbrellas, and counter-weighted self-righting wheel center caps. Over its celebrated fourteen-year production run spanning Series I and Series II evolutions, roughly 10,300 examples were completed, defining modern ultra-luxury motoring.
