Lamborghini Eccentrica Diablo

The Lamborghini Diablo is the flagship supercar produced between 1990 and 2001 that carried the brand through its Chrysler, MegaTech, and Audi eras, with approximately 2,903 total units built. Conceived under Project 132 with styling penned by Marcello Gandini and aerodynamically refined by Tom Gale at Chrysler, it was the first production Lamborghini capable of exceeding 200 mph. Retaining the Countach's longitudinal reverse-gearbox layout, power came from a 5.7-liter (later 6.0-liter) 60-degree V12 developing between 485 and 595 hp, managed by proprietary dual LIE computers. The lineup progressed from early rear-wheel-drive coupes with pop-up headlights to the Viscous Traction (VT) all-wheel-drive model, the track-focused SV, the open-air VT Roadster with its roof-mounted targa panel, and Luc Donckerwolke's Audi-engineered VT 6.0 finale.
