GarageScout Take

This 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster presents a recently rebuilt and enlarged replacement engine, paired with a manual transmission.

Strengths

  • Recent engine rebuild and displacement increase in 2021
  • Copy of the original Kardex documentation

Watch For

  • Replacement rather than original engine
  • Repainted exterior versus original paint
  • Work done since acquisition indicates non-original condition
