GarageScout Take

The 4.0-liter Flat 6 Innovations build gives this launch-spec 997 a substantially different mechanical identity from a standard Carrera, while the factory Sport Chrono, bi-xenon, Bose, and heated-seat options keep its original specification intact. Seal Grey is uncommon among observed examples of this generation, and its 80,323-mile chassis sits near the high end.

Strengths

  • 997-generation launch car with the factory Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and Bose High-End Sound Package.
  • Jake Raby and Flat 6 Innovations 4.0-liter Stage 2 engine rebuild with approximately 5,000 miles.
  • Engine build includes forged internals, Nickies cylinders, Stage 2 cylinder heads, and a patented IMS Solution.

Watch For

  • The original 3.6-liter engine failed at 75,652 miles and was replaced by the documented 4.0-liter rebuild.
  • The front bumper was replaced after a minor front-end collision, with very minor 2017 damage shown on the Carfax report.
  • Modified with an aftermarket rear spoiler, Pioneer head unit, and 19-inch Victor Equipment wheels.
