GarageScout Take
Special-order Ocean Jade Metallic over Graphite Gray, one-owner California registration, and recent Bilstein and wear-item work give this 986 a specific history.
Strengths
- Special-order Ocean Jade Metallic exterior with Graphite Gray partial leather interior
- One-owner California car with clean title and documented maintenance
- Upgraded suspension with Bilstein shocks and replacement of key wear items before sale
- Interior refreshed with parts from a 2003 Boxster including passenger airbag cover and leather-trimmed dashboard
- Includes factory literature and spare parts for preservation
Watch For
- Carfax notes minor front damage in May 2017 without further details
- Wind deflector and roll hoop grilles are missing
- Automatic transmission instead of manual, which some enthusiasts may prefer
