Rear seats with three-point belts were reinstated at the first owner’s request, with the work ordered through Porsche Customer Racing Manager and marque historian Jürgen Barth. Single-owner from new, it was collected at Weissach in March 1994 and has service records documenting nine visits to Porsche headquarters through October 2006. The matching-numbers engine was rebuilt at the factory in 1998 after a material defect, then overhauled again under Helmut Pietsch, with a subsequent dyno run recording 324 horsepower.
