GarageScout Take

The 2.0-liter twin-cam was rebuilt under Gary Fortner’s ownership, with an overbored block, CP-Carrillo forged pistons, a machined cylinder head, RJ Racing camshafts, and a rebuilt SPICA injection pump from Wes Ingram. The five-speed manual transmission was rebuilt during an early-2010s refurbishment, which also added a 4.10:1 rear end with a limited-slip differential and polyurethane bushings. Besic Motorsports replaced the water pump, lower ball joints, and front brake calipers before the sale.

Strengths

  • Fortner-refurbished drivetrain
  • Forged-piston and RJ Racing camshaft engine build
  • Limited-slip differential with 4.10:1 rear end

Watch For

  • True mileage is unknown
  • Right-front fender replaced after a parking lot incident
  • Paint meter readings are provided for review
