GarageScout Take

The original 2.2-liter case and crank were rebuilt into a 2.2 E/S engine, backed by a fully rebuilt transmission and a chassis assembled around Elephant Racing, PMB, Tarett, Koni, and Bilstein hardware. Conda Green is uncommon among observed examples of this generation, while mileage sits mid-pack at 44,470 miles. The lightweight conversion removes the wipers, heater, fresh-air system, interior lighting, and sun visors, and the clock does not work; the harnesses are expired and the car was previously red.

Strengths

  • Numbers-matching 2.2-liter engine rebuilt to 2.2 E/S specification with Competition Engineering machine work, Elgin cams, S pistons, Carrillo rods
  • Transmission rebuilt by Buckley Racing with new synchro rings, bearings, dog teeth, slider, and ring and pinion.
  • Bare-metal restoration in the factory-specified Conda Green, with refinished RSR-style Fuchs wheels and a lightweight RS-style interior.
  • Major chassis and brake work includes Elephant Racing bushings and spring plates, adjustable Tarett sway bar, Koni and Bilstein dampers, PMB-rebuilt calipers

Watch For

  • Windshield wipers, heater, fresh air, interior lighting, and sun visors have been removed.
  • Analog clock is inoperable.
  • Schroth five-point harnesses are expired.
  • The car was previously red before its bare-metal refinish in Conda Green.
