GarageScout Take

One of 483 soft-window Targas built for 1967, this Euro-market car spent time in France before its 1977 import to the US and later residence in California and Ohio. It was repainted Light Yellow in 1981, while its 2.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt in the 1980s by Stoddard Porsche head race mechanic John Truman. Work within the last 500 miles included rebuilding the Weber carburetors, overhauling the brakes, replacing the fuel pump, and renewing the brake rotors, pads, wheel bearings, suspension bushings, tie-rod ends, and shift-linkage bushings.
