GarageScout Take

The 177ci inline-four was rebuilt under current ownership with cylinders bored.020 over, the head and block decked, and new Babbitt bearings, pistons, crankshaft gear, timing gear, generator, and starter. The two-speed planetary transmission received Kevlar bands, a jackrabbit clutch, and replacement output shaft, drive gear, bushings, pinion bearing, U-joint, rear axle sleeves, bearings, sealed gaskets, and brass thrust washers. The body wears an older gray repaint with black panels repainted under current ownership, and the rear fenders are fiberglass.

Strengths

  • Documented recent mechanical work

Watch For

  • Older repaint and fiberglass rear fenders
  • Body could use attention, with bubbling noted
  • Low beams function intermittently
  • Total mileage is unknown
