A 440ci V8 replaced the original 225ci slant-six in 2019, with matched, ported, and polished cylinder heads, dual Holley 450-cfm carburetors, a Crower hydraulic camshaft, and a Weiand high-rise intake. The 727 automatic was rebuilt in 2025 with TransGo programming, Redline Performance clutches, a 2,800-rpm stall converter, and a shift kit. The car was repainted metallic blue in spring 2026 after right-front damage was repaired by a body shop in 2018.
