GarageScout Take

A builder-documented conversion, with hand-drawn wiring diagrams and a substantial spare-parts cache covering its custom electrical systems. The incomplete dashboard wiring and gauges, disconnected air conditioning, leaking transmission pan, repaint, and exempt odometer reading leave the work unfinished and the true mileage unknown.

Strengths

  • Four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a custom-built rear end.
  • Extensive spare parts package, including gauges, a dash pad, console, headers, radiator, and electrical parts.
  • Purchased from the widow of the prior builder, who was a friend of the seller.

Watch For

  • The dashboard wiring and gauges are incomplete, and the air conditioning system is not connected.
  • The transmission pan leaks.
  • The car has been repainted in black.
  • The five-digit odometer shows 41,000 miles, but true mileage is unknown; the Texas title lists the reading as exempt.
