GarageScout Take

Hand-formed carbon-fiber bodywork gives this 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata its custom roadster shape, with front and rear clips, a sculpted nose, custom trunk lid, quarter panels, door skins, fender louvers, and quad round taillamp clusters. Darrin Wood of Modern Custom Classics built the car around a 2017 MX-5 Miata RF Club chassis, with the fabrication, bodywork, paint, and final assembly documented through more than a dozen phases. The 2.0L SKYACTIV-G engine has a Borla exhaust, and the car has new 17-inch silver-finished wheels and tires.
