GarageScout Take

The build is the separator: a luxury LX re-engineered around 37-inch tires, with gearing, axle lockers, suspension changes, armor, recovery hardware, and trail equipment integrated into the package. At 185,000 miles, it sits near the high end for this generation.

Strengths

  • The attached Carfax reports no accidents or mileage discrepancies.
  • The 2013-plus crawl control and Multi-Terrain Select retrofit includes the later brake booster and gauge cluster.
  • The February 2026 transmission replacement is supported by service documentation.
  • The sale included a factory rear bumper, new steering rack, new transmission breather tubes, and additional bump stops and wheel spacers.

Watch For

  • The seller reports chips, scrapes, and scratches, along with cracks and disused clearance cuts on the rear bumper, creased seats, and a sagging headliner.
  • Some underbody components show corrosion.
  • The seller reports a steering rack leak and incorrectly installed transmission breather tubes.
  • The modifications may prevent the LX from passing emissions testing in some states.
