Ford converted this Sonic Blue SVT Cobra convertible into a Champ Car World Series pace car and Fast Lap vehicle, used from 2003 to 2007. It was driven by Mario Andretti and transported to races worldwide, with the conversion adding a four-point roll bar, fire suppression system, racing harnesses, strobe lights, radios, improved cooling, and track-focused suspension and brake components. Since acquiring it in 2022, the seller installed a factory-style fuel system, replaced the spark plugs, and retuned the ECU for 91-octane fuel.
