The S14 engine retains its five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, with an EVO airbox, Z3 short-shift lever, Bilstein shocks, H&R springs, and Dinan sway bars. The clutch was replaced in 2008, and the timing chain tensioner, battery, exhaust hangers, and coolant were serviced in August 2026.
