GarageScout Take

An E36 M3 S52 inline-six and ZF five-speed manual were installed in 1999, with a 1995 M3 OBD-I ECU, custom oil pan and scavenge pump, 1995 M3 engine wiring harness, lightweight flywheel, and performance clutch. The car was refinished in Merlot Red over a reupholstered black interior, and the right door, windshield cowl, and cracking firewall received repairs before the current seller’s ownership.

Strengths

  • S52 engine and ZF manual conversion
  • Ground Control and Ireland Engineering suspension
  • Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes
  • Mason Engineering chassis bracing

Watch For

  • Odometer is not accurate to the chassis; total mileage is unknown
  • Carfax lists a potential odometer rollback and Gross Polluter status
  • Finish has nicks, chips, scratches, and areas of clear-coat or paint failure
  • Florida title carries a Washington Antique brand, is a duplicate, and lists the odometer as Exempt
