Delivered new to Hotchkis Racing at Watkins Glen in July 1986, HR3 was tested by Al Holbert and raced by Jim Adams and John Hotchkis Sr. It returned to competition after a period repair and rebuild, finishing third at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1991. The current Porsche Motorsport North America 3.2-liter single-turbo flat-six is estimated at over 750 horsepower and uses modern GT1-derived internals, Bosch Motronic management, Garrett turbocharging, and air-to-air intercooling. HR3 won the GTP class at the 2009 Monterey Historics and the FIA IMSA GTP class at the 2016 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
