Five-speed manual 4x4 with a dual-range transfer case and Aisin manually locking front hubs. The 22R-E was rebuilt in December 2022 with bored cylinders, reconditioned connecting rods, a machined crankshaft, an overhauled cylinder head, and replacement oil pump, water pump, pistons, rings, bearings, freeze plugs, valve stem seals, and timing components. The front differential was resealed and the front axle seals and bearings, rear wheel cylinders, and shoes were replaced in March 2020.
