GarageScout Take

A retired USPS DJ-5 has been turned into a purpose-built trail rig, with the custom chassis, heavy-duty axles, low-range transfer case and four-link suspension defining it well beyond a stock postal Jeep.

Strengths

  • Retired USPS Jeep used as the basis for a completed custom off-road build.
  • Rebuilt AMC inline-six and Jeep TJ 32RH automatic transmission.
  • Rubicon transfer case, Dana 60 axles, 4.88 gears and Yukon Grizzly lockers.
  • Four-wheel power disc brakes with EBC Yellowstuff pads, GD Sport rotors and stainless steel brake lines.

Watch For

  • Heavily modified custom drivetrain and suspension may require specialized inspection and service.
