GarageScout Take

The 1600 LE specification, documented ownership trail, and recent Fisher Buggies work give this Squareback a clearly traceable identity and mechanical baseline.

Strengths

  • Documented California and Texas ownership history with a Volkswagen Birth Certificate and clean Florida title.
  • Recent named-specialist service includes brake work, carburetor synchronization, valve adjustment, and compression testing.
  • Late-2024 reupholstered interior with Volkswagen-logo seat-back embroidery.
  • 15-inch GT-style wheels with replacement tires are included.

Watch For

  • The odometer is inoperative, and the seller states that total mileage is unknown.
  • Minor rust is noted in the lower front door areas on both sides.
  • The car was repainted from its original Texas Yellow to Brilliant Orange in early 2023.
