GarageScout Take

A one-owner 1970 Ford F-250 Sport Custom Camper Special, acquired from the original owner's relative in 2015, now carries a second-generation 5.0-liter Coyote V8 and 6R80 six-speed automatic installed with Fat Fender Garage mounting hardware. The lowered chassis uses RideTech rear coilovers, a four-link rear end, Detroit Locker differential, 20-inch Detroit Steel wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes. The cab was refreshed with cream and gray upholstery, Dakota Digital gauges, and a Kenwood stereo, with partial invoices, a Deluxe Marti Report, and a clean Oregon title included.

Strengths

  • Documented one-owner provenance
  • Deluxe Marti Report and partial invoices

Watch For

  • Check-engine light illuminated because catalytic converters are absent
  • Digital odometer shows 22k miles after the engine and gauge-cluster changes
  • Modified suspension, steering, braking, drivetrain, and exhaust systems
