Our read
A British Auto Works refurbishment cost approximately $59,000 after the current owner purchased the car out of California in 2019. The work included red paint, a cooling and suspension overhaul, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, rebuilt gauges, renewed black vinyl upholstery, replacement wood trim and carpeting, and a new stainless-steel header and exhaust system. In August 2026, the underside was dry-ice cleaned, the ride height was adjusted, and compression was tested. It was previously listed on Bring a Trailer in September 2026; bidding reached $27,000 without meeting the reserve.
