GarageScout Take

John Wallauer’s 1,000-hour build, its 2006 Mopar Muscle feature, and the 2021 Loge Stein rebuild give this Barracuda a well-documented arc from transformation to current engine. At 74,000 miles, it sits at the upper edge of the observed range for this generation. The tradeoff is a removed trim tag on a car originally built with a 318, plus absent rear seats, radio, and climate control and a history of mostly being trailered to shows.

Strengths

  • Documented John Wallauer Race Cars build with approximately 1,000 hours of work and period Mopar Muscle coverage.
  • 2021 engine rebuild by Loge Stein Racing, with the car driven approximately 50 miles since the work.
  • California and Nevada provenance, plus a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
  • Build documentation and service records accompany the car.

Watch For

  • The car was repainted around 2005 from its factory Light Blue Metallic into the seller-referred Billet Silver custom color.
  • The chassis number indicates the car originally had a 318ci V8, and the trim tag has been removed.
  • The rear seats, radio, and climate-control system are absent.
  • The car has been extensively modified and was mainly trailered to shows, with only occasional street driving.
