A six-year, body-off refurbishment was completed in 2013, with the car repainted Salsa Red over white stripes and fitted with a replacement 390ci V8. Haberek’s Auto-Diesel Machine performed an $11,000 blueprinted rebuild, and the four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt with a Centerforce clutch and aluminum flywheel. The seller purchased it in 2017 after its late-1960s drag-racing use and AMC dealership sponsorship in Waterloo, Iowa.
