GarageScout Take

A GTO-style Tempest built around a replacement 455, tri-power induction, and a Muncie four-speed, with the chassis, wiring, and floor work documented over long-term ownership.

Strengths

  • Rebuilt replacement 455ci V8 with tri-power induction and supporting aluminum radiator, headers, and Pypes exhaust.
  • Muncie four-speed transmission installed in 2011, backed by extensive suspension and steering work completed in 2009.
  • Long-term seller ownership since 2005 with service records and documented major work.

Watch For

  • The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over; total mileage is unknown, with approximately 15,000 miles added during current ownership.
  • The exterior was refinished in black with red pinstripes after replacement of the lower portion of the left-rear quarter panel.
  • The left brake light works only when the turn-signal stalk is held in its center position.
  • The limited-slip unit is inoperative, and the current New Hampshire title carries an Antique Vehicle brand.
