The 327ci Turbo-Fire V8 and three-speed manual transmission were overhauled by MasterWorks of Madison Heights in 2008, along with the steering gear, rear axle, frame, and suspension components. The refurbishment also included a replacement wiring harness, fuel tank and sending unit, radiator, alternator, starter, heater core, body and motor mounts, and dual exhaust system. It was reportedly owned by Getrag Transmission Manufacturing before the current owner, a Getrag employee, acquired it in 2011.
