GarageScout Take

Family ownership since 1973 and a photo-supported mid-1990s refurbishment give this C1 a traceable ownership and work history. The red-and-white-cove finish is uncommon among observed examples of the generation. Total mileage is unknown, the replacement V8 has a blank stamp pad and an oil drip, second-gear downshifts are difficult, and the rear window, body blemishes, and inoperative radio, clock, and heater remain to weigh against it.

Strengths

  • Seller’s father acquired the Corvette in 1973.
  • Mid-1990s refurbishment is supported by photos in the gallery.
  • Clean Ohio title is in the current owner’s name.
  • Spare parts and a car cover are included.

Watch For

  • Total mileage is unknown; the five-digit odometer shows approximately 85,000 miles.
  • The body was refinished in the 1990s, the hardtop was refinished in 2026, and there is a crack in the rear window plus blemishes on the left front fender
  • The engine is believed to have been installed in the late 1970s, and its stamp pad is blank. The seller also notes an oil drip
  • Downshifting into second gear is difficult; the radio, clock, and heater do not work.
