Built by SoCal Speedsters for its current owner in 2023, this Speedster replica uses hand-laid Nardo Grey fiberglass bodywork over an integrated steel frame bonded to a shortened, reconditioned Volkswagen chassis. The accompanying Vehicle Build Agreement specifies a 1,915cc air-cooled flat-four and a freeway-flyer final-drive ratio for the four-speed manual transaxle. Its clean California title lists the car as a 1971 Volkswagen.
