A four-year refurbishment by the Guild of Automotive Restorers included bare-metal bodywork, repairs to the trunk floor and subframes, and a rebuild of the 998cc engine. The engine work included a camshaft kit, oil cooler, four-core radiator, second fuel tank, replacement cylinder head, ignition, and thermostat, plus a rebuilt generator. The car was refinished in its factory Island Blue and Snowberry White colors, with the interior reupholstered in black vinyl.
