GarageScout Take

The removed 389, PHS file, and estate-held records give this Grand Prix a traceable original baseline, while the car now runs a 421 with a 2.69 Safe-T-Track rear and reworked chassis. At 53,000 miles, it sits below the 57,000 to 63,000-mile range for other observed examples of this generation. The original 389 is out of the car, and the modifications extend beyond the drivetrain to the suspension, brakes, exhaust, stereo, and headliner.

Strengths

  • PHS documentation, spare parts, the removed 389ci V8, and transferable New York registration accompany the car.
  • The 2.69 Safe-T-Track differential and overhauled suspension and brakes date to the 2011 to 2014 modification period.
  • The factory Starlight Black finish is paired with the color-coordinated AA hardtop.

Watch For

  • The original 389ci V8 has been removed and replaced by the later 421ci engine.
  • The car has been modified with changes to the engine, differential, suspension, brakes, exhaust, stereo, and headliner.
